POSTPONED: Thurs 1/20: PA Walks and Bikes Meet and Greet at OTB Bicycle Cafe

NOTE: THIS EVENT HAS BEEN POSTPONED DUE TO THE WEATHER FORECAST. SORRY FOR ANY INCONVENIENCE.

PA Walks and Bikes executive director Josh Karns is heading West!

This is a repost from the PA Walks and Bikes blog.  PA Walks and Bikes is your statewide bicycle and pedestrian advocacy group, working on the ground in Harrisburg to make Pennsylvania a better place to live and ride.

That’s right, I will be making a trek to Pittsburgh this week to meet some of the city’s movers and shakers in the bicycle and pedestrian world.

And I want to meet YOU!

I will be spending Thursday evening taking in the ambiance at the Over the Bar Bicycle Cafe with some of his colleagues from Bike Pittsburgh and sampling some those seitan wings I’ve heard so much about.

I will be talking about what’s going on in the state capitol that will affect the roads in your area, and I’ll discuss how you can get involved to make sure our decision-makers are acting in our best interest. I also want to hear from you: how is YOUR ride, how is YOUR neighborhood, what needs to happen to make YOU feel safer when walking and biking.

The atmosphere will be festive-casual.  In many ways, it will be like a first date. I haven’t spent much time in Pittsburgh, so think of this as a get-to-know-you opportunity.  So come out and learn how collaboration can make biking and walking better for all of us.
