The Flock of Cycles Sound System

Find out more about the Flock of Cycles on Sunday, November 20

ed.note: Flock of Cycles is a non-profit organization aiming to promote safe road use by increasing public awareness of the presence of cyclists on the roadways and encouraging responsible cycling practices through exemplification and education.  Among their many actions, they are probably most known for hosting and marshaling numerous rides throughout the year. They are having their first community meeting, this month, below is the info.

Did you attend a Flock of Cycles event this year? Loved it? Hated it? Maybe you have never been to a Flock event, but you just want to hear about what we are doing to better this city for biking.

Have your voice heard on Sunday (Nov. 20) at our first community meeting.

Flock of Cycles was founded as a volunteer run organization to serve the community. In order to ensure that they fulfill their mission, they need to know what you like, what you don’t like, and what you would like to see in the future from Flock of Cycles.

They will be talking about current initiatives in the works and will be looking for suggestions and volunteer help for future projects. If you want to help build a bigger and stronger community around safe bicycle riding, you need to attend.

Plus, how many other community meetings can you have a beer at?

After the meeting, OTB will be showing the classic film, “The Bicycle Thief,” along with hosting the first ever ‘OTB Innertube Changing Contest,” and a special $4.99 Spaghetti Dinner. So, stick around, watch a great black and white, subtitled classic film, and have some grub after the meeting.

Sunday, November 20 · 4:00pm – 7:00pm

OTB Bicycle Cafe, 2518 E Carson St, South Side

Here’s the Facebook Page if you’re so inclined.
