BikeFest Events: Mon. Aug 13

Last year’s BikeFest, comprised of 70 events over 10 days, was the record holder until now. This year’s celebration is even larger at 80+ events over 15 days! Check out the full BikeFest calendar HERE.

BikeFest Mountain Bike Ride

Mon, August 13, 6pm – 9pm
Frick Park Tennis Courts Parking lot on Braddock Ave
Skilled and experienced MTB riders. This will be a fun 12 to 15mile ride through the most fun and technically challenging single track of Frick Park. There will be a good group of people and it will be a lot of fun. If you haven’t yet had a chance to ride Frick and the awesomeness it offers now is your chance, we’ll hit up trails like 276, Rollercoaster, Bradema, Iron Grate, Concrete Block and others. If its raining then the ride will be canceled, Helmets are absolutely required and all riders should be at least a solid intermediate level or above. A lot of the trails are very fast and techincal so please be at an intermediate skill level or above.

Velomuse Ladies Mtb ride at Frick Park

All levels of women mountain bikers are welcome, this is an all fun no drop ride. If interest is there we may go to D’s afterwards for dinner, drinks, and socialization. Trek of Pittsburgh Monday Evening Ride – C&B/3/25-35

Trek of Pittsburgh – Robinson
We meet at the Trek of Pittsburgh – Robinson Township location on Steubenville Pike. We have two groups that leave at 6:00 p.m. Group One does about 30 miles at a 15 to 17 mph pace, while Group Two is a beginner’s road group that averages 12-14 mph for a distance of 20 to 30 miles. We travel mostly back roads with minimal traffic through Moon and Findlay Townships as well as Imperial and Burgettstown. Ride Leader: Paul Kopko, paulk@trekofpgh.com, Phone: 412-788-TREK(8735). Get ready for BikeFest, a fifteen-day celebration of bicycling, August 5th-19th. The activities kick off with Pedal Pittsburgh on August 5th’ which includes a car-free section and a finish line festival. On August 10th the Bike Fest Party returns to the Pittsburgh Opera in the Strip District.
