Sun. Nov. 18: Susie Tree planting and dedication

Celebrate bicycling and the outdoors with the Susie Tree planting

Join BikePGH and TreeVitalize as we plant a tulip poplar Susie Tree in Arsenal Park on Sunday as Pittsburgh’s first addition to the Susie Forest. Susie trees can be planted in celebration of individuals, communities, and events. This tree will be planted as a tribute to the bicycling community of Pittsburgh.

People will be asked to write their ideas and hopes for the future for bicycling in Pittsburgh on “tree grams” which we will provide, to be buried in the soil around the tree and become part of the soil feeding it. We have a nice spot in Lawrenceville’s Arsenal Park, a tree ready to plant, and the supplies, we just need the hands to help plant and dedicate it as a living symbol for our community! Please join us:
