Register to vote before April 22nd

Voters must be registered by April 22nd to vote in the primary election on May 21st

City-County-Building

The City-County Building in Downtown Pittsburgh is home to the Mayor’s office and offices of City Council

We can’t tell you what your party affiliation should be, and we can’t tell you who to vote for, but we can tell you that the last year a Republican Mayor served in Pittsburgh was 1934.  That is to say that the Democratic primary on May 21, 2013 will most likely be the day that the next Mayor of Pittsburgh is chosen.

Only registered Democrats can vote in the Democratic primary.  One can register by sending in a completed PA voter registration form by mail or in person at the Allegheny County Elections Division, room 609 of the County Offices Building downtown; or at a number of other government offices.  Visit the County’s elections website for more information on voter registration.  To find your polling place, search this online database using your street address.

Bike Pittsburgh is encouraging every candidate to make bicycle and pedestrian infrastructure and safety key components of his or her platform. We will keep you informed on the candidates’ stances on our issues as the Race for Pittsburgh develops.

Stay tuned, stay involved, and help us get out the vote for safe streets! With thousands of members, subscribers, and followers our issues will prove to be very important in this election.
