5 New National Bike Friendly Businesses In PGH

Pittsburgh home of 22 nationally recognized BFBs

On November 7th, The League of American Bicyclists announced the recipients of its 2013 round of Bike Friendly Business certifications.   On the list were 5 businesses that BikePGH worked with through our Bike Friendly Employer program to ensure that the engineering & programs were in place to promote bike commuting as a convenient, healthy way to get to work.

With the recognition of these businesses, Pittsburgh’s number of Bike Friendly Businesses increases to 22, making our city a leader in the movement towards building workplaces that support biking for transportation. This strong, supportive business network builds Pittsburgh’s profile for our Bike Friendly Community rating, and keeps our city working towards our mission of transforming our streets and communities into safe, healthy places for people to bike and walk.
