You can be a hero to a child with special needs

Remember the surge of joy and pride you felt when you first learned to ride a “two-wheeler”? Now you can make a difference in a child’s life by sharing your passion for bicycling.

Every summer, Amazing Bike Camp in Monroeville teaches 40 kids with special needs how to ride a two-wheeled bike. During the week-long camp, children use adaptive bicycles to gain understanding and confidence in riding.

10 more volunteers are needed to make this year’s camp a success. Can you lend a hand?

The 2014 Amazing Bike Camp will take place from 2pm-5pm, June 23-27 at the Monroeville Sports Center 855 Macbeth Dr., Monroeville, PA 15146.

To sign up to volunteer contact Cheryl Dennis at denhipfam@yahoo.com or 412-526-6807. A one week commitment is preferred, but you can even volunteer for just a 3 hr stint.
