WPXI: Pittsburghers call for bike lanes in Oakland after recent deaths

“Bicycling Didn’t Kill Susan”

Dozens of concerned residents of Pittsburgh and surrounding areas came out to mourn the lives of Henry Walker and Carol Christine Williamson who were hit and killed by a car while crossing the street in Oakland near its border with the Hill District. Thank you to all who were able to attend – we know that there were many more of you who wished to be there with us.

Thank you to our partnering organizations Hill District Consensus Group and Oakland Planning and Development Corporation for helping us to plan the event.

In this WPXI story, journalist Courtney Brennan interviews Erika Fricke, a friend of Susan Hicks’, who delivers a powerful interview.
