You know how to ride. Learn how to ride here.

City cycling is an everyday learning experience. We ride on streets and infrastructure designed primarily for cars, and chances are your bike didn’t come with a rule book for navigating safely through a new intersection or adapting to a traffic pattern on the fly.

BikePGH Confident City Cycling Classes are designed on the premise that, no matter your level of riding, you can always improve your road skills. Our experienced instructors will first help you practice bike-based skills that are essential to street riding, like body-bike separation, braking technique, proper weight distribution, and hazard avoidance.

Next, you’ll have the opportunity to get out on the street in a fun, group setting to practice navigating common traffic patterns, intersections, and bike infrastructure. Since each 2016 course takes place in a different neighborhood, participants will also get a taste of the unique elements of Pittsburgh streets.

Our Confident Courses take place on the 3rd Saturday of every month. Register for one today on Eventbrite:

  • Saturday, July 16, 2016, 10 AM – 1 PM (Bloomfield)
  • Saturday, August 20, 2016, 10 AM – 1 PM (West End)
  • Saturday, September 17, 2016, 10 AM – 1 PM (Hazelwood)
