Hi I’m Linus. BikePGH’s newest intern

OpenStreetsPGH 2015

My name is Linus Pietrusza. I have always found myself going way too fast on something way too sketchy and want to make the world a safer and more fun place. I have built and destroyed countless bikes, wrecked an ever growing amount, and always somehow staying out of trouble. I love all music from Dave Brubeck to the Fat Boys to The White Stipes. I believe that everyone should be treated equally no matter who they are or what they look like.

My goal as an intern here is to help make BikeFest 2016 go as smooth and fun as possible. I will be sending emails letting everyone know about the events that will be happening. I have never participated in BikeFest but I have done many bike rides and understand the awesomeness that goes on during this time of year.

Things I’m looking forward to in BikeFest:

Monster Trike Night @ the Wheel Mill.

It’s a bunch of man childs flying around on drift trikes on a pump track. It looks like a ton of zany fun.

Forgotten Streets: Hazelwood

Exploring abandoned places is awesome – you can see the history of the city you live in and of the others it used to belong to.

Allegheny Cemetery Bike Tour

It is a beautiful chill ride through the permanent sleeping places of hundreds of thousands people and there are deer everywhere.

Learn to Play Bike Polo!

Bike polo is a sport that I have wanted to play ever since my little sisters played softball for 9th ward about five years ago. It’s all about bike control and having fun

Will and Ted’s Excellent Adventure!

I love adventuring and going fast through the woods and launching off jumps. Frick park is a vast beautiful park and I would love to find all the cool trails.

I hope that BikeFest events like these will be back in 2016. If you are interested in hosting a ride, social event, or something else fun at BikeFest feel free to reach out to me at BikeFest@bikepgh.org
