About Pittsburgh Babes on Bikes

Pittsburgh Babes on Bikes is a group of lady+ cyclists dedicated to celebrating and supporting the continued empowerment of bicycle-riding women+ in Pittsburgh by organizing inclusive events, group rides, and races.

Pittsburgh Babes on Bikes began in 2010 as a calendar that showcased Pittsburgh women and their bicycles. The proceeds raised $5k for the Women’s Center and Shelter of Greater Pittsburgh.

The Frigid Bitch alleycat was established in 2014 and has been raising money for the Women’s Shelter for ten years, since then becoming one of the largest women+ alleycat races in the world.

In 2023 the organization founded an official women+ novice incubation racing team, Pittsburgh Babes on Bikes Racing. The team exists to promote gender diversity in racing, and bolster the crucially important entry-level race demographics.” – Pittsburgh Babes on Bikes

Get Involved

Show your support for these badass cyclists by volunteering to help out at Frigid Bitch on Saturday, February 11th, 11:45am – 2pm. BikePGH will be hosting a rest stop to keep the energy going, and you can too!

Cyclists will race to secret locations around Pittsburgh where volunteers cheer them on and mark their race manifests to show they made it. We always need a small army of volunteers willing to stand outside for 2 hours and bring the stoke! Responsibilities are minimal but the race will happen rain or shine so be prepared for the cold.”

To volunteer, email pghbabesonbikes@gmail.com
More info on the race is available at pghbabesonbikes.com
