I find that as long as I keep moving and breathe through my mouth, my neoprene Gator mask does not fog up my glasses. If I stop, I have to purse my lips and blow out to keep the warm air from collecting behind the mask and fogging the glasses. Sometimes that’s not even enough and they fog up.
As for contacts, sure, you can wear contacts, but in the cold your eyes are going to be exposed to the cold wind and windburn around the eyes is no fun. When it gets down into the 20s, I wear a pair of Crews RX2000 safety glasses with prescription inserts. They look dorky but they keep my eyeballs from freezing.
