If you prefer “flat” you could go west instead. Ohio Randonneurs have a tentative 200k scheduled in April. My only experience cycling in Ohio indicates it can be dangerously and boringly flat and straight there.
DC Randonneurs also has several 200k’s and longer this spring, starting in early February.
I’m interested in trying some brevets “eventually”, but I definitely need to start shorter- a 100k and then a century first, at least.
I prefer to ride alone. For folks like me, is there any great benefit to going on organized rides instead of just long solo rides?
