This is a 1986 Bridgestone Mile 112 Special Edition (size 53cm) that I refurbished myself a couple years ago for my ex. Asking $350 or best offer. I originally bought the bike from a close friend of mine, stripped everything but the frame/fork/headset/crankset/front wheel and re-built it with a mix of components either new or in very good used condition. My ex did not ride this bike very much, so I would estimate only a couple hundred miles on it since I re-built it. The frame has typical scuffs and scratches for its age, but no major dents/damage and overall in good shape. I’ve given it a full once-over and tuned it up as necessary (I formerly worked as a bicycle mechanic for several years). This bike is pretty light and rides very smoothly (as is typical of Bridgestone frames). The brakes are fantastic and the shifting is crisp. Great for riding around the city, commuting, or exploring the rail trails.
It features a 4130 Cro-Mo frame with triple-butted tubing, Campy Veloce road brakes, Shimano Deore brake levers, Bontrager Sport WSD saddle, rear Mavic Open Sport / Shimano Tiagra wheel, Continental Ultra Sport 700x28C tires, SRAM X-5 rear derailleur and X-4 rear shifter, 11-32T rear cassette, front Shimano Deore thumb shifter, Shimano 600EX crankset with 52/42T chainrings, Shimano 105 1″ threaded headset.
The stem is a bit on the long side (120mm), but I would be happy to switch it out for a shorter one at no cost if you want to dig up a cheap one from Kraynick’s or FreeRide (would need to be 1″ threaded). Same goes for switching out the saddle – it is a women’s saddle but I could easily throw a men’s saddle on if you have one.
I am located in Lawrenceville and I take cash only. I work near Station Square/Duquesne Incline and might also be able to meet at lunch on weekdays if you prefer. Please send me a private message with any questions or to set up a time to take a look at it. Thanks for looking!
