“Civic-minded folks of all stripes, from organizers to code hackers, come on down for the March meetup of OpenPGH, Pittsburgh’s open civic data group.
“From smart streets to trash pickup, we’ll discuss all things related to Pittsburgh’s adoption of open, public data platforms for sharing municipal information, as well as group up for project work!”
If you’ve got an idea for a project you’d like to do with public data, or if you’ve got data someone should make a project from, come on down. No tech experience needed; time is offered to find people to work together with.
Meeting locations rotate; March’s meetup is at the Pitt Info Sciences building on Bellefield Avenue, half a block north of Fifth. Dates also rotate, usually the last week of the month; this month it’s Wednesday (i.e., tomorrow), at 6pm.
(As usual, I am not an organizer, merely a participant of this group.
However, if you can’t make it, but have ideas, post ’em here or message me privately or off-board and I’ll see about sharing some.)
