Hey Jon, how about a soft one just for newbs? Say no one with more than five tags is eligible to go after it for the first 48 hours.

I’m out in Colorado for the week so for a while the tags will be safe from me. But that still leaves George and td.

It’s like a big Bob Marley concert out here. Even old people are wearing those knit Jamaican hats.

I’m out of town too, but back for the TeamDecaf Tuesday night ride. I’m cool with ignoring this tag – I’m headed back out of town again later this week.

@jonawebb – If you have a bike while out in Denver, feel free to add a pic to the Wheelset of Fortune game.

For any/all n00bs here, that’s the other game, where you can take your time and pose your bike next to a tag of your choice, given a theme. We have Pgh cycling alumni in Germany and Chicago taking pics on the theme of the week, so we can see what other cities’ cycling is like.

But most players are right here in the ‘Burgh.

Thanks! (and thanks for the softball, melange!) I had much fun.

I ride past everything now and gauge the tagability of it!

4 day weekend just started. My goal is to sleep at least 40 hours, but maybe between naps I’ll hunt down a tag. I realize this is slightly premature, but meanwhile, at the same location:

NEW TAG (Sorry for the delay, was under the weather yesterday)

In ancient times…
Hundreds of years before the dawn of history…
There lived a strange race of people…
The Druids.

No one knows who they were…
Or what they were doing…
But their legacy remains…

What are you waiting for? Get up and Go find this one! Sarah may have buried a clue underneath an old Crossroads.

Hey, don’t mock the Druids. They get more spells per day than a magic user, cast them faster than clerics, and have a very generous level advancement.

Maybe, but the “true-neutral” thing isn’t very fun. Besides, they’d still lose to Lord Helmet. LoneStar!!!

New Tag!

This defunct watering hole was named for a long-closed amusement park.

1905 cylinder recording, Louis and Lena at Luna Park.

There were many such amusement parks with that name at that time. Pittsburgh‘s can lay claim to being the first amusement park illuminated by electric lights. The block of North Craig, Baum, Melwood and Centre surround the former site.

The entrance to “Lost Kennywood” is patterned off the entrance to Luna Park.

Haven’t checked in for a while… have you guys suspended the “take the tag to a new location” part of TOR Rule #2 since I’ve been gone?

Tag #690 is a repeat of tag #9.

Tag #9 image hosting expired but this was it:

Also noticed that tag #692 is a duplicate of tag #245.

For newbies, the tag map is a good resource for scoping out fresh material.

New tag

Clue: Maybe this pair look more noble in daylight. Note: Not the Texas end.

I think the consensus last time was that new locations were preferred, but it wasn’t against the rules to reuse one. The reference in the rules to “new location” could be interpreted as simply “move the tag someplace else”. (On the other hand, when the same player posts repeats in two successive tags, it may be appropriate to waive rule 6 for a bit of grousing.)

Yeah, not all of us have been playing since the beginning, or have all the old tags memorized. FWIW I do check the map before I set a tag and didn’t see a duplicate.

Bah, bruced again. I just can’t get East End tags, even when I know what they are. It was a fun little ride from downtown, though.
