PIGS ***B GOATS
HAM RIBS BACON
BEEF PATTIES
RIB FILET STEAK
PORTERHOUSE
MILD OR HOT DOGS
TURKEY FRYERS
WINGS BREAST LEG

— found poetry

Do you have any idea what the ***B might be? I’m pretty sure it’s not CRAB: wouldn’t really fit in with the other products.
Were you on the Every Neighborhood ride? Maybe you also wondered about this, riding by.

On reflection, I think the writer might have been hemmed in by some practical constraints. Had the signboard wood been cut differently, perhaps the poem might have said something else. For instance:

PIGS
***B GOATS
HAM

RIBS BACON BEEF
PATTIES RIB
FILET STEAK PORTERHOUSE
MILD

OR
HOT

DOGS TURKEY FRYERS
WINGS
BREAST
LEG

Anyway, pick this tag up before I post again… please.

PIGS LAMB GOATS perhaps. Or PIGS IAMB GOATS if they’re measured by the foot.

Not only do I know exactly where this is, I’ve done business with the guy many times. The last time I was in there was just over a year ago.

Vic’s Choice Meats, East St at Hazlett. If you exit I-279 at Hazlett, you look straight at this sign.

Vic was still alive, the last I knew, and was actually in his store and running things until well into 2011. His place is the last vestige of what had been an entire neighborhood, two thousands houses and businesses, that got demolished to build I-279.

New tag! Are we in Camelot? Can’t tell, but this came from the same lot of (t)rusty steeds.

Yeah, I knew where this was, of course, but felt bad about picking it up again (Tag 595).

That was a repeat? Sorry, I thought I’d checked that. In any case, I was trying to get more people interested in both games. I also posted this tweet:

Actually, Milton near Overton. Overton near Milton sports an asphalt–brick transition. (But they’re just around the corner from each other.)

I poked around some odd streets in Millvale. I didn’t see it, but I didn’t scour the town all that well. What other ‘vales do we have around here?

I do agree we could use a bit more info.

New tag! Brand new facility, five stores, 170 parking spaces, not a bike rack in sight.

*thread jack*
I thought the city required a minimum number of bike racks be installed for new commercial construction, and additional racks could replace car spaces to a certain point. So this shopping center isn’t in compliance – is it?

Ahlir

Private Message

There’s racks at Center and Heldman and, apparently, somewhere in the shopping plaza. (A while ago I complained about the racks being only on that corner and not in the plaza proper, but someone corrected me.) Oh, and I see that neither the Google or Bing street-views are up to date. Even though that plaza’s been up for a while…

[On a different topic, did you know that Chrome/Google does not have 'Bing' in its dictionary? Tsk. So juvenile.]

Hush little tagger, don’t be a drag,
jonawebb’s going to post you a brand new tag,
To find this tag you’d better head east,
You’re never going to find it heading west,
And if heading east leaves you dry,
Then you’d better try looking up high,
And if looking up high leaves you dangling,
Then you’d better try some street triangling,
And if these clues don’t work for you,
Then you’d better wait a day or two.

A sweet cracker used in s’mores
Will help you make this tag yours
And then, remembering this state’s Quaker beginner
Will get you there and home in time for dinner

The bikes are leaning against a large carved stone, and the scene outside of the picture frame is surrounded by many more carved stones.

I had an idea of where this was, and it was nearby.
So I checked it out.

The signage said “walk your bike”, but I was lazy. Should I have?

TeamDecaf

Hmm, doesn’t sound like the same place. I never saw a walk-your-bike sign.

In fact, this place didn’t allow bikes until a few years ago.

Oh. Then maybe I will take a swing over that way. I was thinking it was way out of my typical path of travel. This would be only a little out of my path of travel.

Note that I really don’t know precisely where this is, just that it isn’t six miles to the southeast of there.
