What are Open Streets?

Open Streets initiatives temporarily limit streets to automobile traffic, so that people may use them for walking, bicycling, dancing, playing, and socializing. Open Streets is part of the Ciclovia movement that is spreading throughout the world and reaching over 100 cities in the U.S.
