This is super dorky to post but that has never stopped me. Stumbled across this, Miss Ohio 2011, Ellen Bryan, spent a month of her tenure biking around the state making appearances. As dubious as the whole pageant thing is, imagine dozens of little girls meeting her, putting on their tiaras, and deciding they want to bike across the state. That, I think, has some value.
