Virtual Workshop and Q&A

Tuesday, May 18

12:00pm – 1:00pm ET

Do you want to make biking and walking better in your neighborhood? Become an advocate!

In this workshop, Eric Boerer, BikePGH’s Advocacy Director will discuss the MoveForwardPGH program, a collaboration between the City of Pittsburgh, BikePGH, and Healthy Ride, that is working to rapidly implement the City’s new Bike(+) Plan. Find out what the program is, what’s been accomplished, and how to get involved.

BONUS IG TAKEOVER: BikePGH Community Organizer, Anna Tang, will be taking over BikePGH’s Instagram from 9-5 to talk advocacy and answer questions!

Bike Light Giveaway

Wednesday, May 19

5:00pm – 7:00pm ET

Since 2011, Bike Pittsburgh has been giving away hundreds of free bike lights annually with its Operation Illumination program.

To receive free lights, please be sure to bring your UNLIT BIKE, as we cannot give you a pair of lights without a bike present. We do this to ensure that we are distributing lights that can be put to use on bikes immediately. If you already own bike lights please do not request a set; this event is intended for people who cannot afford lights.

COVID-19 Policy: Participants are required to wear a mask as they approach our staff & observe social distancing using the lineup markings provided.

Need a flat tire fixed, brakes adjusted, or other minor bike repairs? Healthy Ride + Makeshift mechanics will be onsite to provide assistance, adjustments, and diagnostic recommendations for larger issues.

Virtual Workshop and Q&A

Thursday, May 20

12:00pm – 1:00pm ET

It’s tough to hop on your bike when you don’t feel comfortable on two wheels. Join us for a virtual workshop where we’ll address barriers to confident cycling – everything from bike fit, to maneuvering traffic, and feeling in control of your bike. We’ll give you the tools to help mitigate those pesky bicycling pains and boost your confidence so you can enjoy your next ride!

BikePGH’s Women and Non-Binary Program is inclusive of trans and cis women, intersex people, non-binary, genderqueer, agender and gender variant folks, as well as those whose gender identity falls outside of the dominant conceptions of gender. The program provides spaces to come together over biking, advocacy and related topics while increasing representation of people who have historically marginalized gender identities.

Virtual Coffee Meet-Up

Friday, May 21

8:00am – 9:00am ET

Whether you’re a confident rider who’s hoping to create a two-wheeled movement at the office, or a business owner who wants to make sure you’re keeping up with the times, come bring us your questions. We’re here to help!
