ya,

We did great on St. Pat's but people are still very freaked out by the Cabs. I worked the last two mornings and have done ok.

What's the legality of this in Pittsburgh? I ask because I've heard of pedicab companies in other towns getting shut down just as people became comfortable with them.

That's just because this city (among others) has a nice habit of shutting down ANYTHING that will bring people out and make them happy. I don't have time to list every example, but we all know its true.

That's because we live in "The Land of the Free" (if you speak orwellian)

Checked out the website. It looks cool, but as an entrepreneur, I have some thoughts. I am not an attorney, but I am familiar with the basics of business law.

Since the drivers are independent contractors, won't they need insurance? Also, if you are leasing your pedicabs to them to use for business, won't they also need business licenses?

Also, since they are leasing from you/independent contractors, you can't control rates between pedicab drivers.

Basically, I am saying the legal issues around this are enough to make me take a step back. I would also suggest anyone interested in this to go to an attorney before doing ANYTHING.

I saw one of your guys stuck in traffic in the Southside when I was going to other way with Critical Mass. He was carrying two old ladies and singing at the top of his lungs. Pretty rad.
