As far as the mechanics of things go, it's all looking good. Updated software, new easier to mount roller platforms, maybe just maybe an audible countdown.

Spak, I've only been to one, so this is impressionistic.
Two matched bikes on rollers, two people sprinting like hell for maybe 30 seconds, progress monitored on screens above the contestants. One gets to the "end" first.
Repeat.
Add a loud audience, massive doses of testosterone, laughable macho boasts, grudge matches, and drunken hilarity.

The event is just as fun to spectate as well as participate in, especially with 50/50 cash raffles going all night!
not to mention the two dollar magic hat special. After a few you'll find yourself calling out your buddies to a challenge.

I have to be at the convention center to setup at 9a and I'll be there until 10p, but if I'm not completely beat, I'll be down for a race or two (I have to be back down there at 9 the next morning for another 13 hours).
