Nate & I are planning to ride TOSRV this year. Neither one of us has done this ride before.

Plan for headwinds and very few hills. The rest stops were good with really nice people. They were 25-30 miles apart. Also, there's a flood wall in Portsmouth that has a huge mural, it's blocks and blocks long. I believe the route goes right along the flood wall.

BTW, from the point of view of someone used to riding around here, this is a very easy ride -- if the weather cooperates. There few hills and lots of pace lines to join. You can just ride along til a pace line passes you going a bit faster than you can go by yourself and jump on.
The weather last year was perfectly nice. However, the year before the weather was horrible, with strong headwinds both ways.
The camaraderie is great.
