can we make it a haiku?
5 word description of Jerry Kraynick?
I'm working on a project at the Children's Museum that features artists' renderings of Pittsburghers who have helped to shape the history and legacy of the city. One artist submitted an illustration of Jerry, and I wanted to see if you had any suggestions for a creative 5 word description of the local hero, himself.
By the way, the project is ongoing and the call for submissions is open, so if you are an artist or craftsperson interested in contributing artistically, pm me. Thanks everyone.
That's six words, Erok.
all entries will be considered. The guidelines for Haiku are syllabic, so in five words? 5-7-5 format.
you'd need an average syllable per word count of 3.66~
but if you're up for the challenge...
how about this:
His first initial is 'G'.
Best bike shop owner, ever.
GER RYYYY KRA YN ICKK
whoops, terribly sorry about the spelling.
Thanks brad, I agree. The other day I was there looking for a long reach caliper brake for a fork that was drilled for a recessed nut (what's the stud that passes through the fork called?) He rummaged about and found one, but it used a regular old lock nut. Then he told me about a modification he did once to resolve such an issue: he said he'd taken a chainring nut, the OD of which matched the hole in the back of the fork, and drilled it out so the ID accommodated the brake stud, in effect creating a bushing/adapter. Then he rummaged through his chainring bolt/nut drawer and pulled out a little twist of bailing wire with four of these nuts that he had modified years ago looped onto it. Pretty cool.
that's more than 5 words though I suppose...
Don't know him, sounds cool!
