Alternate for Rt
took 51 from the sewickley bridge to the Mountour trailhead in coraopolis for the first time the other day. Big mistake. I ended up dumping my trailer twice. Thank God my kids weren't in it! After I got home I tried googling to find an alternate route and found lots of "plans" for a Ohio river trail, but nothing concrete (or gravel). Does anyone another way to get from sewickley to the Montour trailhead in coraopolis?

If you didn't have that trailer, you could load your bike onto a #21 PAT bus to get from Sewickley to Coraopolis. The stretch of 51 from Coraopolis to the start of the Montour isn't too bad.

Emmysuhaul, I sent you a message on this board. I have a friend who has a cargo bike and a trailer and can give you info on plus and minus of each. Pm me back for his email. Cargo might be better than trailer for this run
