i saw some new ones. i think there is a new one on the hot metal bridge? there was another one somewhere else and it was purple
And the plot thickens...
We started this discussion of the appearance of yet more protractors on another thread, but I thought maybe the subject deserved it's own. Today we found two more of the new (vintage 2012, pale purple version) protractors during our ride. So - four total in the past week. I wasn't in on this little adventure last year so it's all new to me. I was wondering if anyone else had noticed new ones popping up lately; if anyone out there with the inside scoop is willing to provide some hints as to the rules of this intriguing puzzle; and if anyone is interested in the locations and numbers on the ones discovered so far. I'm guessing there are other people just hearing about these too so maybe someone could recap anything previously learned and/or any new theories?
Yea stef I saw the one on the hot metal bridge.
What are their numbers?
I noticed one on the bridge going over to Washington landing on Saturday. It was white. Had number i think but not sure
i aint done seens none of thems yet.
There's a new one at the Millvale trailhead, where the trail ends and the road tunnels under the tracks.
There's a new one on Swinburne Street between Second Ave and the Jail Trail.
There's a new one on the Hot Metal Bridge.
There's a new one on the newish, bumpy concrete trail section between route28 and the Allegheny.
I don't think these are "legacy" protractors from last year, I think they're recent - but I'd sure appreciate hearing somebody's else's opinion. Cheers, V.
From Swinburne Street, this afternoon
Sort of a curious glue-ghost mark, could this have been refreshed?

There is one on the north side of the bridge into Schenley park on the Blvd of the Allies. Not sure of the number.
It's purple.
All the new ones seem to be purple. The "Ongoing History' link above has photos where the city has simply painted over them, leaving 'ghosts', I think they look cool - like smirks all over the city. Smirks for Maths - Yea!
