I'm traveling to Europe in late August. I'd love to bring my bike to explore the continent with, but all of the sturdy bike cases I've seen online seem to cost as much as my bike itself. Since this is a one-off trip, I don't think I could justify that kind of investment quite yet.
But I figured it'd be worth a shot to see if anyone on here owned one that they wouldn't be needing in August. I've always dreamed of doing Europe on my bike, and I would be incredibly grateful (and of course compensate you for the use of the case).

You may want to try out a cardboard bike box, probably near free at a bike shop. It's what prolly recommends in his post about traveling with a bike, and he travels a lot with a bike.

Ah, great idea. I'll look into it. Thanks for the suggestion.
Anyone fly international with one of those? I'm wondering if I'll get charged extra for a bike box's dimensions.

I have one which I got from someone on this board. It's pretty big and heavy -- it's a hard case. You can use it in August-September if you want.
