I still don't understand why charity stuff needs to start at 8am on a Saturday, but in any case, I'm down.
Non-riding team mascots are included at no-charge.
We really, really need someone to dress up like a bird and be our flock mascot.

It's $500 for a team (up to 12 people) and benefits the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
Anyone up for joining me for an indoor flocking?
Let's show up all the spin class goons.

Awesome.
I'm calling out Kayla and Stef B!
I'm also calling out Stef M. that way we don't completely destroy the other teams...
Teams race on either an Airdyne or Spinning cycle.
awww... That means Reddan is out--no 'bents.
I will do it
We need to get all of the crazy legged people from Black and Goldsprints. Then, we need to get Ted to announce for us.
I'm in!*
*To race, not be the bird mascot.

@Nick: You know, I DO ride an upright once in a while...
That 8 AM on a Saturday thing is pretty evil, though.
I'd totally do it, but it's the same day as the Spring Thaw, so probably not.
I say the more = the merrier when charity is involved!!!
Looks fun, but I have ethical qualms with the research methodologies the organization in question supports
How so? I've done fundraising for Leukemia and Lymphoma Society before, and I've met and worked with a number of recipients of the research grants they award. I was impressed with the science and I saw nothing that wasn't on the up and up. In fact, some of the research they funded in the past has moved into the clinic, and drastically extends the life of, or cures people with specific types of Leukemia.
I should mention that they also use the funds for patient services, especially for people who recently receive the news that they have Leukemia.
My son is affiliated with the furries who have their convention in Pgh every July, and talked this up on the PA Furries' board. Their admin front-paged it, so don't be too surprised if we get a bite on dwillen's mascot suggestion.
There are a lot of furries in this town. It would be hilarious if the costumed mascots outnumbered the cyclists that day.
Stu, could you have him remove the part about the name?
This sounds very cool!
I ride the stationary bike enough at the gym so I might as well get up early on a Saturday morning and do it for a good cause.
Greasefoot, add you to the list?
YES, I'm in.
Ok:
-Nick D
-Kayla
-Seth
-Dan
-Stef B

-Greasefoot (Sorry, I don't know your name)
Anyone have a team name? I don't think we can use any of the trivia names.
Something to do with Flockers...
Sooo is there anything special about this stationary bike I should know about? Fixed gear that will take off my legs if I don't pace myself?
I don't see what harm there is in it, but I'll let him know.
Team Names...hmmmmm....
Indoor Flockers
Flocking to Anyplace

It looks like they shut down registration a few days before I posted this.
