Back on bike

I've been fortunate to not have any issues sideline me for more than a week or so, but the feeling of getting back on a bike is an incredible thing, deserving of song. Kicked this around mentally on the trail a bit, finally wrote it down. Deserved response? Crickets. But if someone else wants to sing this in their head or shower, or someone with some vocal chops wants to pick it up and make a stupid video that would do my heart good. Weird Al does AC/DC, you know the song, I was about as lazy with the lyric changes as possible. It really only occurred to me because that laziness was possible. " Back on bike Or on a trike It's been to long, so happy it's like Spinning loose As a goose On the north shore squaukin' about I've been looking at the sky Cause it's gettin' me high Forget the hearse cause I'll never drive I've got zip tied Cateye Cranking through my personal bests and running wild 'Cause I'm back Yes, I'm back Well, I'm back Yes, I'm back Well, I'm back, back Well, I'm back on bike Yes, I'm back on a bike Back on track You know I'm jacked Fastest pathlete on the trail, he got a power pack? Nope, drinking tang With my gang You've got to catch me if you want me to hang Then I'm looping the track And I'm beatin' the clock Nobody's gonna get me on another lap So look at me now I'm just makin' my play Don't try to push your luck, just get out of my way 'Cause I'm back Yes, I'm back Well, I'm back Yes, I'm back Well, I'm back, back Well, I'm back on bike Yes, I'm back on a bike Well, I'm back, yes I'm back Well, I'm back, yes I'm back Well, I'm back, back Well I'm back in black Yes I'm back in black Ho yeah Oh yeah Yes I am Oh yeah, yeah oh yeah Back in now Well I'm back, I'm back Back, (I'm back) Back, (I'm back) Back, (I'm back) Back, (I'm back) Back Back on bike Yes I'm back on bike Ninja'n out of the sight "

Whoops, missed a couple "back on bike" for "back in black" substitutions at the end of the second chorus, you get the idea.

All you need to do is find a great guitarist and a bad vocalist and you're set!

heh. you said "tang". I don't think my kids know what that is. Something to do with the Apollo program, am I right?

Existed before, but popularized by the Apollo program. Not especially bikey, but geek cred drink that rhymes with gang, had to use it. I actually never ran with a cateye or went to a track and did a lap (unless you count tootling around the oval on try a bike day), just fit "cats eyes" and "nobody's gonna beat me on another rap" too well. I'm also sure there's a strava segment joke that'd be way better on the "power pack" line than the pathlete thing, though trying too hard to go kinda fast on the trail is a badge of shame I wear with perverse pride and I felt I ought to own a bit more of the experience I was laughing about.
