Bill, we just didn't want you to know about the party till it was over.
It probably just got lost in the mail. Everyone else I know received theirs the Monday before the party.
Just wanted to let someone know, I just got my Bike fest post card yesterday. Whoo-hoo, it's very nice! But, it came yesterday. Don't know if that happened widely, but that should probably be done differently next year.

Ha, ha! Ok. Probably a conspiracy at the Robinson post office.
I got my card yesterday. So the Turtle Creek post office is in on it as well.
Mine came pre-party.
we got two pre-party
yep, mine came a long time ago
Mine just arrived yesterday.
When was it postmarked?
I'll check when I get home. (my post office is Verona, if that matters)
Due to government cutbacks there is now only one mail trip a month to the suburbs.
This happens when I send out cards to promote events, and the reason I use mailchimp and e-cards now. It's ridiculous.
hmmm. maybe it's a post office conspiracy to keep bicycle related information out of communities not in the city
I received mine Monday Aug 22. Zip 15116. The cards aren't postmarked because they are in standard mail class.

like
everyone knows "the mail" is a socialist conspiracy.
Should have sent them via bike messenger.
all 5 we have left?
i got mine a while before the event, but this thread reminded me of one issue i saw with the post card. why was it postage paid from cleveland, oh?
pittsburgh has places to buy stamps and snail mail post cards?
Our bicycle advocacy outsourced to Ohio! I'm sure Noah will be pleased.

Well, if you need a place that's well-equipped to handle Neolithic communications technology, look west young man!
If your card has 2 UPC looking bar codes on it this indicates the original bar code above your name & address was not scanable. The mail sorting machine kicked it out as a reject. Then when someone at the post office got around to looking at the address and putting the bar code on it again (in the correct place) it was able to be delivered.
Hotcards.com
In Sherlock Holmes stories it seems like there's mail at least twice a day...
USPS missed its chance to be the hotmail (or gmail) of today, which is maybe not that big a deal to deploy: the French post office does email, probably other countries as well.
Neolithic communications technology
Did you perhaps mean NEOlithic? (NEO is a somewhat common regional abbreviation for Northeast Ohio, I think.)
I just checked - no double bar code on mine - it arrived 8-22.
While we got ours a little late (but no harm done), I do like the design on them a lot. They're very pretty and nicely done.
@tabby, no, you WANT the suburbanites to know what they're missing, right?
TeamDecaf,
Mine had the second bar code on the top of the card. It's very faint and overtop some other print. I did not notice it until I looked at the card a second time.
@ cburch everyone knows "the mail" is a socialist conspiracy.
I hope everyone understands that this is, indeed, true.
When the wingbats toss the scare word "SOCIALISM" around, they are talking about the mail, our roads, our schools, and the lovely Pittsburgh public pools that many of us recently visited.
but SOSHULISM BAD!!!!!! DEYDOOOOOOKRJERBS!!!!!
and yeah i know its socialist. hence the humor in calling it socialist.
don't forget libraries and police and fire fighters! I've always wondered if Santa's elves were socialists too, or if a meritocracy is different.
i always wondered if the elves were even there willingly. i mean, he did choose the north pole to have his factory, and he kept the only way out to himself.
@greasefoot... darn, too late for a second look for a faint barcode - it's been picked up by the recycling committee. At least it'll have a second life.
