Looks like there are really alot of cool and historic bikes here!
that place looks seriously cool, I can't wait to stop by
I stopped at Bicycle Heaven last night and it is AWESOME! It's like a cross between a bike shop and an art gallery, there are schwinns of all shapes and colors and incredible other pieces. Plus there's going to be 5 more rooms of this upstairs. You could spend hours here.
If you riding around this weekend just go ahead down there, they're almost always open and happy to talk to people. Follow the Chateau Trail until you see their signs along the fence, then follow the directions.
I meant to add that they're having an opening celebration on July 2, basically all day long (10 am-midnight). They'd love for people to stop by. Maybe after the jamboree??
We are planning on a rat rod bike ride from the south side to Bicycle Heaven sometime July. I will post the exact date when we work it out.
I'm curious about what vintage bikes they will rent: sounds very fun!
If you are riding there on the trail this Saturday, remember that the Chesney concert and the river activities will seriously crowd the trail most of the day.
Yep, Regatta Weekend.
Exactly! it's a great time to ride around and enjoy a downtown that actually has something going on, even if it is mostly country. enjoy.
racedoug-my husband has been wanting to propose a vintage bike flock ride in honor of the vintage grand prix at the end of august. maybe bike heaven could be on the route?
We've been toying with doing another tweed/seersucker ride to follow up the success of last years. Some conflicts have kept us from it up until now (sorry for those that wanted second annual tweed in April…), but that does seem like quite a grand idea!
I'll talk it over with Drew, may be in touch soon!
sarapgh2-That sounds like a great idea. Have your husband check out this forum....... http://www.ratrodbikes.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=27636
Its about our ride last year and where are talking about our next ride.

I checked the museum out on Saturday. There are tons of Schwinns and old bikes. If you want to buy a used bicycle on the second floor bring lots of cash. Craig dont sell used bicycles cheap. Bike collectors should visit this museum and bring a camera. I did not even look on the second floor but I will be back. To look for a heavy duty rear rack.
Stopped in with the family during our Sunday ride. An astounding number of bikes, and he kindly helped with my son's bike as well.
