You really really should not post the serial number. Hopefully a mod can delete it. That serial number is about the only thing you have to prove it's yours if it turns up.

Bike Stolen!
Hey everyone,
I just had my bike stolen last night from my apartment complex on the North Shore. The bike is Specialized Sirrus Elite (men's size large), and it is dark gray with minor red details. There is a slight gouge on the right handle grip. It had a rack on the back.

I noticed BikeTek in Squirrel Hill has plywood where a window and glass door used to be. I'm guessing they had another robbery. I don't think this spike is just increased reporting. Maybe there's a bike-stealing gang in town?
I hope all the people reporting bike thefts here are also reporting them to the police.

Maybe thieves have just figured out that bikes are easy targets that are low priority to cops. The invisible hand of the free market and all that.
