Here's another one.
Bike thief
If I remember correctly this here message board has been responsible for at least one bike being reunited with it's owner.
Timito, you're being too coy. You know damn well this message board -- and you --have been responsible for a bike being reunited with its owner.
Who Pinched My Ride

The story is kind of long so here are a few things the author mentioned I thought were most interesting:
Most bike thieves are drug addicts.
Police departments are reluctant to pull officers from robberies or murder investigations to hunt bike thieves.
DAs rarely prosecute bike thieves because the theft does not meet the criteria of a felony.
Ehay and Crappielist is a cesspool of stolen bicycles.

Molly just got her bike thanks to a post here, after a month or so of it being gone. It was stolen from inside her house.
