I haven’t experienced that glitch yet, but the symbols that let you know if you’ve read a thread always seem to have a mind of their own, and sometimes I have to manually change page numbers using the address field. Oh, and sometimes I’m locked out from posting, especially if I’m including a link.
Board glitch? Click on a thread, it takes me to a different one
does anyone else have this problem right now?
I had to google the title of this thread in quotes in order to get into it.
Maybe once I vaguely remember the wrong click-to-link thing. Like Marko82, the symbols act wonky and there are several threads that won't start me where I left off (Tag-O-Rama, for example, always starts me on page one, it's annoying).
Salty pointed out that the gliches seem to be user-dependent. Every user experiences thier own problems that others don't.
I've had that problem frequently, Erica. Usually I end up clicking on the link with the time of the most recent post if I can't get to one.
just wanted to say, this is still happening on most threads. Not really sure what to do about it, other than manually type the name of the thread I want to go to
what browser are you using?
firefox primarily, but I tried it in Chrome, and it's still happening. It happens on my laptop and on a desktop that I tried.
what operating system (apple, pc-xp, pc-win7, tablet-android, etc) and what pointing device (external mouse, scrollpad, PEM, touchscreen) ?
'cause I think this is the 'suxnet-B bug that was only supposed to affect voting machines
My laptop is windows 7, the desktop at the bookstore (where I am now) is ubuntu on linux
On the thread list, every thread has two links, one for the title and one for "freshness". If one goes to the wrong thread, try the other.
I had no idea there were two. I'll try it now.
that worked. It didn't take me to the first unread post, but it's still better than going to the wrong thread
@ Steven, that's awesome. I always used the title link for Tag-O-Rama and I would go to page 1. Clicking the freshness link works by going to the last post, love it!
I see it too, on one machine with a Firefox/Vista/touchpad combo, and another with a Chrome/Win7/trackball mouse combo.
I usually now hover briefly over the link to make sure I'm going the right place. It also happens on days that I check in more frequently because I'm bored at work.
