I watched this with no sound, so forgive me if he had something to say about this, but that thing looks really uncomfortable.

I'd love to use one of these at the airport if I could attach my rolling suitcase to the back. I'd hate to take one of Pittsburgh's potholes on it though. Chipped front teeth!

Has the look of an in-between evolutionary step to me.

It looks like the handlebars are so the rider is forced to slouch.

I'm suspicious of the claim "safer than a bike" because of the anti-skid brakes and the lights. That was the announcer that said that, though.

If the inventor said it, it would dismiss him as a flake. The safety (or lack thereof) will probably rest with the geometry and speed. I dont' want someone who doesn't understand that designing a 2-wheeled vehicle.

The anti-skid brakes -at top speed, going downhill- might be very effective at placing the rider's face on the pavement.

$3600, 6-mi range. For those with more money than sense, perhaps?

You can get a nice Brompton Ti folder that might be a little lighter than this thing, is about 100 times as useful, and only costs half as much.

Even the inventor doesn't look particularly stable when he's riding it. And can you imagine what would happen if you had to brake hard to avoid a collision? How would you stop yourself from flying off the front? The great thing about bikes is that the design is already almost perfect; why is everybody always trying to mess with that?

this thing is stupid.

I thought it was neat it folded up so small, and you could pretty much bring it into anyplace you want without getting hassled. The thing would fit underneath your seat at the movies. Unfortunately it wouldn't have enough juice to get me back home from the movies, and I'd be carrying 20 lbs of carbon fiber and batteries up a hill. A folder seems to have all the same advantages hyped in the promo. I just don't get it.

It might be that the future of urban transportation will be small, light, low speed, personal electric vehicles that are similar to this in many ways.

If it was, say, simlar in pseed, but a 40 lb foldup with a roof/windshield and had a wheel arrrangement so you could pull it like a roller-suitcase when folded? That could be the wave of the future.

Designed by someone with a boxer's nose, crippled wrists and who doesn't need their front teeth.
