I've been considering picking up a child trailer from Craigslist and using the two-wheel axle and hitch to build up a flat trailer with tie-downs around the sides.
Cargo Trailer Suggestions
So I may be in the market for a trailer to haul cargo around town. I know Surly just came out with the Bill and Ted's and that Yak makes a B.O.B. trailer, but I have no experience using any of them. Does anyone have any suggestions for trailers that would be suitable for hauling <100 lbs around this hilly, pot-holed city?
I've got that Nashbar trailer, if ya want to check it out IRL sometime. Works fine, for what it is.
Burley Nomad will carry 100lbs. Nashbar trailer, 45lbs. Plus one wheel trailers lean with you and the center of gravity of the load lowers so when you want to straighten up you have to turn harder to get load back up. My Burley Cargo is 20 yrs old. I've bombed some offroad and had it bouncing around behind me, turn over and be sliding upside-down. No problemo. Just felt like a flat. Stopped turned it right and kept going.
There's also a trailer for sale from golden triangle bike ... there's a page on craigs list someone crossposted on here somewhere yesterday.
just bite the bullet and go for a bikes at work trailer.
In the lifetime investment category are the bikes at work trailers.
A more lifetime investment would be a bikes at work trailer. (3rd try to post, I'll remove the link this time)...
