Awesome! I had forgotten about the commercial, and the plans to put dirt down on Canton just a couple of weeks before the DD last year.
I have to say, they did a nice job cleaning the road up before they left.

Does anyone know what year the DD clip is from, or know the cyclists?
It's older, in that the street has not yet been resurfaced, and the depression/mud pit on the left side is still there. I can't see if the larger depression on the right side - the one that turns into a mud pit - is also present.

I imagine that they had to use older footage. Not many people went down last year since they redid those bricks last summer.
I thought I saw steevo going right up the hill in a clip.

The video is wrong about the steepness. It's a 37% slope, for an angle of 20 degrees (not 37 degrees).

I saw a clip on the news about the making of that commercial, they interviewed people who live on the street. The people said the production crew treated them like gold, they had nothing but nice things to say about the event, which was quite nice to hear.

Someone is trying to argue that Potomac is steeper than canton where it meets banksville. I am not so sure about that. I think the transition just sucks.
