A cyclist was hit crossing on the South end @ the crosswalk around 5:30pm. Injuries looked minor.

That intersection sucks. People regularly roll into the crosswalk when there's a red from the bridge, don't yield or look when making a right turn towards REI, people gridblock when coming onto the bridge, etc

I always hop curb and take the lane and wait at light to cross intersection , seems the safest ?

I would love If they built a small pathway under the hot metal bridge to route the trail to avoid this crossing, which would probably require them to build a suspended platform under the bridge since there is very little space available.

The guy who got his throat slashed, I think the altercation that set it off was at this corner. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
