Nice! I frequent this intersection & street. Lots of speeding and drunk hit-n-runs on parked cars.
[edit] In other Polish Hills news, there're also new stop signs on Gold Way @ Denver behind Filmmakers. One of the signs already got creamed by a truck but has been bent back into place.

Edit: on the other hand, we know drivers slow down for tunnels--maybe road-sized pop-up tent tubes?

the water canons at parking day only brought the police... this is 4 doors down from my house, it's probably the work of those darn graffiti artists that keep painting our abandoned mailbox.

What's interesting is that the commentary on local print and tv websites are lauding this as heroic and noble, has they painted bike lanes the responses would be bile and hatred condemning the malicious vandals destroying public taxpayer funded roadways.

Well, that sucks... but what irks me worse is that I bet 99% of drivers believe they don't have to yield to pedestrians unless there is a painted crosswalk - which is 100% wrong.

They don't yield to peds when there are bright yellow street signs, a bright yellow sign in the crosswalk on the double yellow, and brand new paint.

Looks like it hasn't posted to web yet, but PAT just emailed a detour notice required because route "can no longer be maintained safely through the next evening and day as motorists are not adhering to the alternating single lane (and stop signs therein) condition."
(IB Freeport Road is closed at the Rt 28 split in Blawnox through Saturday morning.)
