But cyclists should please give a bell-ding or an on-your-left notice to pedestrians when passing too.

Dogs on Trails
There needs to be more education for dog owners to keep their dogs on leashes. The last few days while riding on the Jail Trail I have seen dogs off leash to be grabbed by the owners just before darting out at me. This morning it happened again and I told the owner to get a leash, he said he had one and I told him well, your supposed to use it. He was not happy about it. Look, I have three kids who are skittish of dogs. I don't want to run one over and, I don't know if your dog is safe. Keep it on a leash unless you are in a designated off leash area.
