East Liberty Blvd and Highland Ave Two-Stage Turn Bike Box

Thanks to the city for building the two-stage turn bike box and BikePGH for demonstrating its use: http://localhost/2017/05/09/video-use-2-stage-bike-turn-box/ I've been using both regular and two-stage turning for that intersection depending on whether or not I can safely merge into the left turning lane. However, I think it would be best for less-experienced cyclists to do the two-stage turning for it takes both good neck flexibility and bike handling skills to merge into left turning lane safely. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hyaIpNlTz0Y&feature=youtu.be

Two-stage turn box is so great that a car driver gave it a try (Taiwan) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6dOIXOcHtsY FYI, where I came from - Taiwan, it is illegal for motorized scooters and bicycles to use the leftmost lane to turn left. Although scooter riders have been fighting to remove this restriction because it doesn't improve safety in many instances and favors the use of cars (https://youtu.be/859fxI8Tqg0). Regardless, this is essentially a sarcastic video showing the lack of respect to traffic laws by many Taiwanese, but it can also serve as an educational tool to demonstrate the two-stage turning technique.

Yes there is one at Schenley drive extension & Schenley Drive intersection, though it's a T instersection not a 4 way.

PennDOT also installed two of them at the intersection of Chestnut St and E Ohio St on the Northside.  Greatly improves left turns at this multi-lane intersection.
