what's the East Side Ramp (seriously) thanks!

Eastside is the minimall on the border between East Liberty and Shadyside, which runs between Centre Ave and the Busway from the Whole Foods at South Euclid to Highland Ave. The parking structure in the middle has a relatively steep ramp from the upper level (state store/Chipotle/Highland Ave exit) to the lower (PNC/Walgreens/Centre Ave exit). They've recently resurfaced most of the structure with a coating that certainly looked slippery when I saw it Sunday evening, so I'm not at all surprised to discover it is indeed dangerous when wet...

Plates on highland just past the intersection with Penn outbound are also presumably slippery, as there is no anislip surface on it. Plates On Swinburne street from the jail trail parking lot to second ave also do not have anislip surface. But on boundary between the tracks and the intersection with Jean caire street do claim to have an antislip surface.

Also drivers of trucks and SUVs find it necessary to slow down to 2 mph to go over the plates on boundary btw.

Hi David, Currently there is a heavily sanded top coating which was installed with the intention of providing sufficient traction. We appreciate the email to bring this to our attention that this may not be enough, and we are in contact with our contractor about adding an additional coating to improve upon that.
