No since orange signs say danger no parking signs up variance street paving and steam roller on side of road. It looks like they started paving then weather turned for the worst it also seems to be overnight as i biked home it was fine in morning milled. its also on city website.

BTW, it's paved and smooth now but not painted except on the bridge where they never milled. When I rode through there yesterday there was a sign in the bike lane on the north side. Here's hoping they narrow the travel lanes a bit and give the bike lane more breathing room.

bike ride was less than 2 hours from a severe thunderstorm flash flood warning was still in effect. i give city at least 24 hours from bad storms before i call. it was also 11pm at night so  311 and dpw were closed. yesterday stones were bad but expected until paving is complete.

agree maybe we both should call 311 on that but i think that bike lane is to make road more narrow to slow traffic. lanes must be a certain width. curb and grates make it way to narrow. i was thinking get rid of inbound bike lane make that and left inbound lane inbound cars. left inbound and left outbound make that outbound traffic half of right outbound and all of outbound bike lane make into protected bike-lane. and bike box on Braddock and Dallas and make traffic lights 4 way stop for bikes to get to correct side of road on Braddock and Dallas. or extend lane up to shady with parking on one side only then follow ped signal.

I agree that the inbound bike lane on Forbes between Braddock and Dallas isn't much use.  I use that route on Fridays and Saturdays about midnight and that little white line is not enough protection from the 65 mph drunkards for me, so I take the sidewalk.  I'm not fast enough going up hill for me to be much of a danger to pedestrians.

If I'm in Regent Square, I usually go a bit north on Forbes, then take Kensington to the trail through the park, which ends up at the end of Reynolds St.  Might be technically closed at midnight on Friday, though.
