I don't think I can make it. Is there somewhere I could donate money anyway?
FRIDAY - KVBP Fundraiser (Live music, art auction, raffle, and more!)
This Friday (Oct. 22) is our first big fundraiser!
The event is being held at Shadow Lounge/AVA. There is a VIP event starting at 7p with food, guest bartenders, live music, and first hand look at the auction. Tickets are $50 (discounts available for multiple tickets).
The main event starts at 9p with a suggested donation of $10.
If you aren't familiar with the Kullu Valley Bike Project, it is an organization sponsored by Pittsburgh East Rotary and in association with the Kullu Orphanage, to bring the joy and power of bikes to Kullu Valley, India. KVBP is working to build a sustainable bike co-operative shop, educational center, and eco-tourism center to share the wonderful things a bike can provide with kids who otherwise have very little.
If you are coming on the Flock of Cycles ride this Friday at 5:30p, we will be ending the ride at the event around 8p.
***ALSO- I am supplying a TALL BIKE to be part of the silent auction!
So, who is coming?
The easiest way for KVBP to accept a monetary donation is in the form of a check made out to "Pittsburgh East Rotary Club" with, "Kullu Valley Bike Project" in the Memo line.
Hey, Nick, give me a call sometime when you have a few minutes, I want to follow up something from the Dubois thing, I'll pm you my cell.
Here is a sneak peak of the tall bike that is going be auctioned on Friday:
Won't have time to post the photos tonight, but here's a teaser:

Whatever happened with this project? Seems to have just fallen off the face of the earth. I'm having some trouble posting with the spam filter, so apologies if this message appears multiple times, as it hasn't gone through yet. I tried posting without the link to the KVBP website, hopefully that will help.
Whatever happened with this? KVBP seems to have fallen off the face of the earth, and http://www.kvbp.org is no more.
I wish I had answers for you. I tried for months to try to get info from the people running it and just got the run around.
