A lot of local charities that distribute these bikes to needy kids have their holiday parties early. If you have a bike to donate, I'd suggest getting them to Jerry, to Al or to wherever ASAP. I suspect that by the end of next week we will certainly have missed the season of giving for this year.
Does anyone know Jerry or his program well enough to know when their cut off for bicycle contributions is this year?

I'm pretty sure Jerry's program goes well into December, if memory serves me right
I think I'll call and ask tomorrow if I remember
If they're going to drop $13k on kids bicycles, I hope they're reaching out to corporations to receive a more favorable price on them
Also thinking if they're coming from Toys-R-Us, I hope they're assembled properly
Lastly, whenever I see people buying poor kids presents for Christmas, how about working on a solution so their parents can afford to buy their kids bicycles? Like maybe raising the minimum wage?
I mean I'm all for bandaids, but when are we ever going to stop the bleeding?
