Anybody know more about this than the flyer says?

I'm coming back from an injury (metatarsal stress fracture) and wondering if I can handle some form of participation in this, or if it's a bad idea. Distances, trail types, whether one can just bike or "has" to run too, etc. I'm healed enough that if I show up, I'll likely do more than I should if everybody else is doing it. If it's just a party with bikes and running shoes, I'll likely be safe(r).
