How many miles/hours do you plan to ride? The most scenic and the flattest section is between PA 259 and Vintondale. Parking at Saylor Park and riding to Vintondale isn't bad either, but you'll start with a moderate incline and coast back. Vintondale to Nant-y-glo is mostly wooded and an incline, but it has a few nice little waterfalls along the way; Nant-y-glo to Ebensburg isn't very scenic, is also an incline, but worth while for the sake of the miles.

I'm not sure about food, as I have never stopped anywhere along the way. There is some herb-fair taking place at that Dill Weed Cafe/B&B on Saturday: "Pick-A-Dilly Herb Faire- Stop by the Dillweed Bed & Breakfast and Trailside Shop this Saturday, June 11th to enjoy a day devoted to herbs, plants, perennials, and more! The faire is from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Area growers and artisans will be on hand. There will also be demonstrations on herbs and herb gardening. Food will be provided and admission is free." Foodwise, there is Skinner's Bar & Grill in NantyGlo which is right off of the trail, I can't vouch for it though. You'll see the Niner-Diner in Nantyglo on a google map search, but it is closed unfortunately. There are also some pizza places near by. There's a subway and a six-to-go about a mile south and along the same drag. There's a Sheetz (on US-22) about another mile beyond that but that requires a hill climb.

If you go all the way to Ebensburg, there are a lot of options in town I can point you to.

Otherwise, it's slim pickings. I think there is a Subway a couple of miles outside of Dilltown if you leave the trail and ride on the road.
