This saturday is the culmination of a pilot program that encouraged middle school aged girls to think innovatively and use their bikes as projects. They have formed teams of "Sci Girls" and are unveiling their re-engineered bikes in a project runway styled show sponsored by WQED.
We have been asked to provide maps and educational info for the girls and their parents and to help judge the show and give awards for things like: "best use of office supplies", craziest ice cream maker bike we've ever seen", "most colorful bike ever", etc.
It should be a lot of fun! If any of you are able to help out this Saturday from 12:45pm until 3:30 at the Ellis School in Oakland please email
