What is the protocol to use the oval? I know they run crit races two nights a week, what about the rest?
It's a city park, so, unless someone has a permit reserving it for private use, it's fair game AFAIK.
The ACA has a permit for Saturdays for much of the year, but they've always been cool about letting others hold events then.
For personal use, you're probably pretty safe just showing up whenever.

Dan is correct, but I'll add one other thing: on Friday evenings PMVC holds time trials and/or track events. I believe these run through the end of August-ish. Tuesday and Wednesday evenings are right out, as the ACA crits are run.
Tues/Weds/Friday and Saturday nights are when I would avoid it. Any other time you're good to go.

Oops meant that as Tues/Wed/Fri nights and Saturdays during the day. Only reason I say saturdays is it always seems a little crowded if you are trying to work on intervals or training.

Gotcha. Just wanted to be clear. I've not been there on a Saturday but it's my impression it's a bit of a zoo on those days.
