We had great support at our BikeFest event and now that the workshop is coming up next week, wanted to get this back out there.
I'm reposting most of Bikeygirl's previous post with a new heading...
A local group of commuter cyclists (those being SaraP, Bikeygirl, and Lyle); are bringing a national program—Cycling Savvy—to Pittsburgh. This curriculum encourages safe cycling at all levels, in all typical situations.
Cycling Savvy is a three-part course and all three sessions are being held on Sept 20 and 21 in the Bakery Square area. You can choose to take all at once or separately. Learn more about the Cycling Savvy program at
http://www.Cyclingsavvy.org.
From Bikeygirl—-Last year I (along with NickD and Lyle), went down to Columbus, OH and took Cycling Savvy’s 3-part course, and it was a great experience that I can’t praise enough! While the class is perfect for new cyclists or those who want to transition from recreational/trail riding to more city/commuting trips; even if you are seasoned cyclist, there is always something useful end empowering to take from it (personally I loved the bike handling class & the classroom seminar).
